Speakers Corner Quartet, a London collective consisting of Biscuit, Kwake Bass, Peter Bennie, and Raven Bush, have teamed up with woozy pop artist Tirzah for their new track 'Fix'. Having previously worked together on the remix edition of her 2022 album Highgrade, Tirzah lends her inimitable lyricism and cadence to 'Fix', SCQ creating a spacious and minimal soundscape, gently plucked bass notes laying a foundation for her meandering melodies, it is an exercise in subtlety, music stripped down to its bare components as much emphasis on the space between the notes as the notes themselves. “It’s a song that has many meanings, many outcomes, many possibilities — as well as the obvious — fixing someone, or something,” Tirzah said of the track, her partner Kwake Bass: “Musically – we went on quite a journey of finding the right balance of atmosphere & space.
